About the end of the article talked about how the girls may be held against their wills. I would take it as a case by case rather than make a generalization like the article. I know in CA, some girls go 1 or 2 hours out of their residences to work the parlors. And more often then not, they simply stay at the parlor to avoid driving back and forth every day. All I can say is if any of my favs are held against their will, they captors absolutely didn't mind these girls having facebooks pages. And from their facebooks, they seem to have a pretty active lifestyle while in captivity.
