I'll never forget my first time. It was at the old Como Rice Health Club in St. Paul. Curiousity got the best of me one day and I decided to stop in to see what the place was all about. It took a couple of visits there to understand what was available - there was one girl there that was very helpful in educating a young guy like me in the dos and donts when going into places like that and the rest as they say is history. I think I was only 17 or 18 at the time. Hard to believe that was 30 years ago...

I had my first experience at the Red Carpet Health Club and Grand and Dale in St Paul. I started a little later in life, I was 30 years old. After the Red Carpet closed I became a regular at Lee Lenore's.

Rainbow Spa in South Milwaukee. I was blown away by the table shower and the sexy asian ladies. I became a regular till it got shut down. That was 15yrs ago.

Wasn't it something like Yoskiko's? I went there once -- just once. The woman gave me probably one of the lamest massages I ever had (and absolutely no HJ (hand jobs), BJ (blowjobs) and FS (full service). There may be limits on how much service management will allow.">extras) and then she expected a tip -- a hundred-dollar tip. I just walked out.

The first place I went to was the Speakeasy, April 1, 1987. Yeah -- April Fool's Day -- quite appropriate. I was just enjoying a good, long weekend in the Twin Cities, cruising around at all hours (this was 3 in the morning, so, yeah, all hours) when I wandered across this "adult health club." Cruised by it a couple more times, then curiosity got the best of me. For a while, it was a regular stop in my visits to the Cities, but then it went away...along with more money than I should've been spending at the time...or even now. Oh well. Live and don't learn.

It's a shame that all of these great places got shut down like they did. And yes, there are even more that you can add to that list from over on the other side of the river in St. Paul as well (obviously the Speakeasy - right a-a1?).

I still like the feel of going to a storefront place - more than any other type of experience.
