I know this has been talked about for a while. I just hope Method 3 opens soon so it can be enjoyed before this shit happens.

I think they'll be opening outside of Minneapolis city limits this time. Last location was ALMOST perfect. But, being on a relatively busy street with those apartments across the street..

I also didn't like that shop they pretty much shared a building with, when people where outside of it and seen you walk in they knew what was going on.

When that shit happens it will be a lot easier for people like myself that are simply
looking for an actual massage rather than sift through ads .
This also means that true independent ladies like myself will be a lot busier because if they do have code enforcement closing places outside of downtown limits we'll be the only ones left.
Downtown is very expensive to rent besides the sketchy zoning laws if you're trying to operate an amp where the idea is to profit with very little expense.
Also, Majority of leasable spaces in downtown aren't zoned for bodywork.
Personally I think they should make it optional and legalize R&T regulating it to a general area enforcing taxes etc.

That makes too much sense. They will only do something if they can make it illegal and fine people as well as tax them.

Warren isn't much different than what happened in the twin Cities between 1996 and 2000. Maybe fewer arrests, but the results were just as drastic. This used to be a rich environment.

Most massage parlors in Mpls are illegal now. The only place a message parlor can legally operate is downtown. Uptown, and all those seedy places south of the convention center are outside the legal zone. Yet Mpls doesn't bother to do anything about them because it costs too much money to enforce their current laws. Also, a HJ is illegal under state law. So the Mpls code change will not make these places any more legal. The code change will grant them more legality in that they can operate outside of downtown legally. I expect it will pretty much be business as usual.

The real impact to current Mpls places is the CMT issue. This is something that is easily enforced, but let's face it. They only need one CMT to open a place legally, then have non-CMT people working there. Enforcement is going to be tough.

In the 90's when they did the sweeps they were pretty hard core & almost everyone was displaced or shut down.
They'll probably table it again like last time they brought up licensing.
Nevertheless I don't doubt the power of LE if they want a parlor or 10 parlors closed, they'll do it & move quickly.

Having non licensed workers is even worse if you get caught, just sayin.
It's more of a crime to impersonate a an LMT than it is to be doing prostitution.
Not legal to run an MP in s mpls unless you have an esthetics managers license and are offering other services along with it.
meaning your profits can't come just from massage which might I add most of the parlors that do this suck at hair & nails.
Like I said most leasable space isn't zoned for massage also the new zoning guys are very set in changing whatever's left of them to attract condos, retail and restaurants & that's how they're probably gonna run people out.

I mean. Hello? New stadium going in. ( it'll be awhile but it's part of the plan to "fix" downtown.
Unfortunately they're hardly fixing the actual problems.
We have Aggressive panhandlers, phone theft & mob beatings or robbery not to mention the thousands of sqft of useable space Which I call block Empty where all those assholes like to loiter.
I swear if they hadn't of pushed all the punks & metal heads out by closing all the record stores none of those people would be there .
sure they panhandled but never attacked people at random or got attitude after hearing no like these guys do, I hate running errands downtown now.

Yoshikos was never bothered with either.
Not the best place but, it was reliable.

Just carry a loaf a bread and some kiwi shoe polish with u ms. ( J.J Walker famous quote).....Spread that on the bread and that will shut them up for a day....then you could travel in peace to run your errands.....or pre- prep them and let them sit in the hot sun to bake the harmful chemicals off them...., and just run and throw random pieces of alcoholic toast at them....

Whatever happened to the one-note cello guy who used to hang out in the skyway near the government center?
