Call the number, if the line is disconnected, then more than likely it's shut down.

i finally got around to calling both places the other day. i got a wierd message when i called so relax. sounded like i was calling a cell phone and the user was out of range. the phone for lucky dragon rang a few times, then i got transfered to a voice mail of a different cell number. i hung up without leaving a message. i was going to check both places in person today, but we got way too much snow last night for me to leave the house. i'll leave another reply when i'll able to head down that way again.

FIFTYTOGO, So you're are telling me that your wife never noticed the traffic in these 2 establishments. That it was abnormal to a legit parlor. I could be wrong but I'm sure she had time to notice it but did not take actions on her employees(one of them would be leaving the door slightly opened)if she wanted to run a legit parlor. She was making good money for the entrance fee(more than a usual legit parlor). For us describing adventures, sure there are a few members that demean women, but the majority of us respect them despite their profession, as we have discussed amongst ourselves on some Posts in this Forum. If you're going to take it out on somebody, take it out on the people who run these kind of sites. Actually we tell the members of these establishments about what to expect on services. We members come from all walks of life. I hate to assume, but maybe you were "Kept in the dark" by your wife until it all unfolded. I don't live in Pennsylvania or been there, so i don't visit these establishments. Now to run a LEGIT parlor, yes you'll need to take precautionary steps. For example fill out the form(agreementlike you stated)as one enters. Don't do it randomly, but make it a policy with identification and if they cannot provide the identification, then refuse service to them.(2)when interviewing the therapists for a job, see who seems legit to work in a clean parlor. Just because they have a certificate of 500 hrs. in the art of massage, doesn't mean they are trustworthy.(3)When a client tips, the client should give the tips to the person in charge but the provider should be there to see the amount, keep track of it(bookkeeping),then be given to her at the end of her(provider)shift.(4)Have no items in the parlor that will cause an infraction.(5)Keep the door of a room open and the person in charge make rounds. (6)Like you stated, the clients will be draped with no ands or but(t)s(figure of speech). (7)Possibly have monitors in the lobby where the person in charge can keep an eye out if she is not making her rounds. Now you're going have to realize that once you go to a Legit parlor, your business wont be like before(income wise). We members have been to a parlor that were Legit(TOFTT)and when they have touched the providers, the providers will seperate themselves and we get the hint and respect them for it. There is no doubt that some of us do like a legit massage but some of us like the best of both worlds, APACHE.

fifftytogo, so you if you really are the husband of the owner of this spa, and you have been reading EVERY review on this site for the past 6months or so, you and subsequently your wife knew damn well what was going on in your spa. Since your place has been reviewed as a spa with HJ (hand jobs), BJ (blowjobs) and FS (full service). There may be limits on how much service management will allow.">extras twice last year. Probably not wise for you to admit that you are connected to the owner, and read this site, which indicates your spa had HJ (hand jobs), BJ (blowjobs) and FS (full service). There may be limits on how much service management will allow.">extras. Especially unwise if charges/court cases are pending and you are going to be using the defense that you didn't know what the girls were doing.

Now come on here and make a rant if you want to, I am sure you are upset by the LE visit, who wouldn't be. Do not take it out on the site or the posters here, for 6 months you kept your mouth shut while those reviews were helping to drive customers in. Now you have been caught and have gone LEGIT, fine. Reviews will reflect that and customers will decided if they want massage from your place or not. You can't have it both ways. It is unfortunate when LE visits and natural for you to want to blame someone for your troubles, by your own admission, you only have yourself to blame because, you KNEW (since you read the reviews) what was going on and did not stop it before LE found out.

You can get off your soapbox and self-reflect. Then come back and speak if you want to have an intelligent conversation.

I had a feeling you would come in here and edit your post. That is why I did not quote it in mine, It is not my intention or desire to cause you any additional troubles. Good Luck and I wish you continued success.

Quote or no Quote, i have said what needs to be said, so let it be written. Not only you edited your post, but you completely changed your subject. FIFTYTOGO, you are either the husband(tough to tell when one is camouflaged behind the computer)that advertises for your wife or you're the owner herself. Nevertheless don't blame another person "when the door automatically hits you from behind" when there is no one else to blame..

The only reason I did not quote his post which attacked the site members, was that he did say incriminating things and I believe he was in an emotional state. And people say things when overly emotional (who wouldnt be after their business was raided) that later they may regret. Your post along with mine should give anyone reading the context of what he said. I personally am cutting him/her some slack because it sucks when a spa is busted, especially if you own it.

Thank you for an excellent reply. With respect to you and to inform the other members I will reply individually to your comments and suggestions. We DID notice the traffic and comments and fired three girls despite their denials. Lacking the experience and knowledge we have now we clearly did not go far enough on the prevention side. Hiring standards now include documentation of legal status in America, documentation of education, extensive interviews regarding the kind of store the girls want to work and a work history that we can trace. Of course, the proof is in the actions they perform (or don't perform) once they are here.
As to your suggestions - all excellent. (1) - ALL are required to sign. ID requests are random - difficult to make the girls always get it because they fear not business at all and they are not really qualified to compare signatures or read names - sad but true. (2) - addressed above. (3) We review tips daily and question the girls about the unusual ones. (4) I get your drift here and we do assure the absence of vivible indicators such as porn mags, suggestive photos and the like - difficult to search rooms for condoms, toys, etc. AND develop trust relationship but we do our best. (5) Curtains have replaced doors (6) Security cameras installed and operating in lobbies and halls (6) Draping required with no exceptions (7) Of course LEGIT is less lucrative - on the surface. But in the long run it is more profitable over time.
Good suggestion on "stepping away" and we will tell the girls. Thanks again.

TheROCK - see beginning of this response as to knowledge and action on our part. Of course - had to wait until storm passed to engage in this conversation. Nothing was done on the part of our business to attract the trouble - it takes 2 to tango and unfortunately we allowed clever girls to use our business as cover for activities they tried to hide from us. The tuition at the school of life is high and now we have paid it.

Finally - LEGIT business is welcomed and we try to provide a good massage experience with all the associated health benefits. Thanks to all for participation in this exchange.

I am please you have calmed down and are responding in a respectful manor. I understand you want to turn your business around. Good Luck.

I quote the above, because I sense in your last reply still some denile. You are still not accepting that you (or your wife) as the business owner allowed even unintentionally your business to be the way it was.

Hiring standards for the past 2 DECADES have required every single employer in the USA to have a completed I9 on file for each active employee and retain those for inactive employees for a period of 3 years.

Why are you just NOW complying? Previously NOT following the law yourself lends to the speculation that you knew you potentially hired workers not legally allowed to work in the USA. These individuals are the ones needing to earn as much as they can, as quickly as they can, to provide for themselves and family. Almost all if not all EMPs do the exact same thing, they do not ask and do not want to be told the girls legal status, nor do they "want to" know what happens in the rooms.

Can you really say you were "tricked" or "fooled" by the girls? If you knew they were not legally working, why would you assume any other law that would limit their earning potential would be followed?

I wish you success in your desire to run a successful legit spa. Good Luck.

FIFTYTOGO, it's good to see that you're trying the best to come out of this. Alot of people learn from their mistakes, that's what life is about, sometimes. Yes, you did let your guard down and got hit with a left hook and then realized it.

TheROCK

Maybe I did not phrase it correctly. Since the inception legal status has been the #1 requirement. Second was legitimate massage training - with proof. Third was a commitment to keep "hands off" the clients. We found out these girls were "hiding out" in our stores to avoid the cops. We acted too late, of course, in the instance of these four girls. Won't happen again. Besides - legal status was verified by the authorities and that was not part of the problem.

Good luck. No one in the hobby likes to see a spa close, even one that is legit or wants to be.
